A REDDITCH councillor is urging residents across the borough to make sure they are on the electoral register when Redditch Borough Council’s Registration Roadshow drives in to town.
As part of Local Democracy Week officers will be staffing a stand at the Town Hall on Wednesday (October 14).
Being on the electoral register not only means residents can have their say in elections, it is used for important credit checks before mobile phone contracts and bank accounts can be set up.
Coun John Fisher, responsible for Electoral Services, said: “Everyone has a stake in our democracy, but in order to vote you need to be on the electoral register.
“I want Redditch people to sign up and make sure their voice is heard in local, national and European elections.”
