Right royal day: Karen at St Paul’s Cathedral with fellow Conservative backbench MPs Caroline Nokes, Anne Main and Sheryl Murray.

LOCAL MP Karen Lumley MP had the great honour of attending a Thanksgiving Service for Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday, held at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on Friday (June 10).

The service was attended by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh as well as other members of the Royal Family. A reception was later to be held at the Guildhall hosted by the Lord Mayor and City of London Corporation.

Mrs Lumley was one of only 20 Conservative MPs to have been nominated to attend the event.

Karen said: “As everyone will know I am a huge fan of The Queen as I believe she is a wonderful example to all women and families.

“It was a tremendous honour to be chosen to take part and The Queen looked absolutely lovely in yellow.”
