A BOROUGH beauty has been crowned deputy Miss Worcestershire after wowing judges in the county finals.

Brockhill resident Rosie Thompson took the prestigious title in the Miss and Mr Worcestershire competition at the Worcester Guildhall on Sunday (November 2).

The 18-year-old competed against 21 others where she was marked on categories including sports, charity, interviews and four catwalk rounds.

Rosie narrowly missed out on making it through to compete for Miss England in June next year, but will now deputise for Miss Worcestershire if she is unable to attend an event.

The talented teenager was also crowned Face of The World in a separate Miss Earth competition where she will go on to represent Teen England in the final.

As well as winning the title, Rosie was also awarded a contract with a top London modelling agency.

Rachael Barker, Miss England regional director said: “Rosie has been a brilliant candidate for Miss Worcestershire and has shown she has performed well in all rounds; sports, eco, charity as well as many others.

“I look forward to seeing how Rosie develops over her year.”
