IT’S all systems go for Redditch Round Table’s Santa rounds after a local firm agreed to build their sleigh.

Avancer on Crossgate Road, Park Farm, stepped into the breach after hearing that the kind-hearted Tablers needed somewhere to assemble the vital bit of kit.

The commercial vehicle repairs business, run by Lisa and Malcolm Chance, not only had the space but also offered to construct the sleigh too.

Dan Buckley, of Redditch Round Table, said: “Thanks to Lisa and Malcolm, we will be able to assemble the sleigh indoors for the first time in our history.”

The Tablers’ annual Santa Sleigh rounds are a tradition in the town, with all the money raised going to local groups and causes.

Tablers chairman Paul Rhodes said: “The Santa Sleigh visit is our main charity fundraiser.

“If residents would like to get involved then get in touch with us. We will be circulating our collection dates and routes in the next couple of weeks and we could always do with a few helping hands.”
