CHILDREN and staff from a borough school will get a taste of life on the small screen in a programme about religion.

St Thomas More First School will feature on BBC2’s My Life, My Religion next Wednesday, March 25, at 5.30am.

The show will look at how the children prepare for their first Holy Communion which they received at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

The episode will be available on iPlayer throughout the week.

Headteacher, Teresita Moriani, said: “I was delighted that St Thomas More First School was approached as it was a wonderful opportunity for the school and parish to be able to share with a wider audience this significant time in our faith journey and promote a further understanding of the Catholic faith.

“The first Holy Communion is an important and sacred part of Catholics’ lives. The children have undertaken a programme of work in order to prepare them and we are excited to be able to share what they have learnt and what it means to them.’’
