A SECTION of footpath at Redditch’s Arrow Valley Country Park is being closed for repairs to a retaining wall.
Timbers that retain earth for the footpath near to the Visitor Centre and duck feeding station have deteriorated over time and will now be replaced with a single row of more substantial granite-faced cages of stone known as gabions.
Head of Leisure services John Godwin said: “We’re improving this footpath now to nip an emerging problem in the bud before the busy summer holiday period.
“Sorry for any inconvenience while the works are carried out.”
The work is scheduled to start on Monday July 11 and is expected to take two weeks.
