A STUDLEY pupil proved she was top of the class after achieving the highest GCSE grades last year.
Lauren Goymer, who in now studying her A levels at Alcester Grammar School, picked up eight A*s and two As.
She was rewarded with the Exceptional Achievement prize in front of her parents and former teachers.
She said: “I am really grateful for the amazing support from my teachers and I am really pleased to have received this award.”
Headteacher Lee Gray added: “I am delighted to be able to recognise the effort and attainment of Lauren who, through her determination to succeed and commitment to her studies, has achieved to an excellent standard.”
The award coincides with the release of data by the Department of Education which shows Studley High School is in the top 20 per cent of schools nationally for pupil performance.
