Social club break-ins could be linked

Redditch Editorial 21st Oct, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

SOCIAL clubs in Redditch and Studley were targeted by thieves on the same morning.

The Studley Sports and Social Club on Eldorado Close was broken into about 12.45am on Tuesday (October 21).

The alarm was activated and the intruders left empty-handed.

At 4.15am the Studley Road Social Club in Lodge Park was also broken into and a quantity of cash was taken.

A pub in Worcester was also targeted about 2.45am and it is believed the three crimes could be linked.

A pair of men were seen at the Studley Road Social Club at the time of the incident.

One is described as being 5ft 10ins tall, slim, wearing slim fitting jeans, a light coloured hooded top with dark jacket over the top and trainers.

The second is the same height, medium build, and wore light coloured loose jogging bottoms, white trainers and black gloves.

DCI Dave Goosen said: “At the moment we don’t have evidence to confirm that these offences were carried out by the same people but given the time-frame and locations this is a possibility.

“If anyone was in the area at the time and saw anyone acting suspiciously or any suspicious vehicles then we are keen to hear from them.”

Anyone with any information should contact Warwickshire and West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
