Stars of Disney's Frozen coming to town

THE STARS of hit Disney film Frozen will be making an appearance in Redditch as part of this year’s Christmas celebrations.

Elsa and Anna will be meeting fans in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre and putting on a small performance on Saturday, December 6. The same day Paul Hand from Bees and Trees will be teaching wildlife role play for all ages on Church Green while traditional rural crafts will be on sale on Church Green.

It forms part of five weeks of activities in the town centre over the festive season. It starts next Saturday (November 15) from 11am when Santa Claus comes to town with his reindeers and elves accompanied by street entertainers and the opening of his grotto in the Kingfisher Centre.

A chance to check out some of the hottest gifts this Christmas will be on offer over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday November 29 and 30 while the Santa Dash around the town centre in aid of the Primrose Hospice returns on Sunday, December 7 with a midday start.




A special town centre carol concert performed by local schools and the Salvation Army is being held at St Stephen’s Church on Thursday, December 11 while a Christmas Craft Fayre will be on offer in Millward Square in the centre on Saturday and Sunday December 13 and 14. Arts and crafts will also be on offer from D’entertainment on Church Green on the Saturday.

A ‘Christmas on the Green’ carol concert takes place around the bandstand on Wednesday, December 17 designed to allow businesses to network with each other while local theatre and community groups will be performing throughout the day on Saturday, December 20 while shoppers can also enjoy stilt walkers, jugglers and clowns.
