Students in Redditch should aim for jobs in construction and accountancy if they want to earn while they learn

STRAPPED-for-cash students in Redditch should look for jobs in the construction, accountancy and marketing sectors – according to new research.

The analysis of 2,000 part time jobs by online job site CV-Library found that these sectors offered the highest hourly pay for UK students trying to earn a crust.

On average a construction job paid students around £13.59 an hour, compared to around £10.35 for a job in customer service.

The study also found that the most vacancies were available in social care and hospitality industries, and that cleaning and warehouse work were among the lowest paid student professions.
