Studley character building

STUDENTS in Studley have been getting creative in a competition that would clear the playground of any birds vying for a crisp at break time.

Pupils at Studley High School competed in an inter-house event which saw them design and make scarecrows. The competition grabbed the attention of the whole school.

Zarana Haines, in charge of pupil leadership, said: “This has been a fantastic way for pupils to work together and have fun creating and then judging the final winners.”

With entries ranging from Churchill to Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland to the Minions, the scarecrows followed the theme of ‘fun characters’, as agreed by the students themselves.

After judging, students declared a Minion scarecrow as the winner.
