A TOWN supermarket will close for a week from today (Tuesday) as part of improvement work.
Sainsbury’s, off the Alvechurch Highway, will shut its doors from 6pm tonight to finish its refurbishment and extension which will allow a greater range of goods to be sold.
A number of sustainability features have also been installed to reduce the carbon footprint of the building.
The improved store will officially open again next Wednesday (November 26) from 9am.
Tim Smedley, store manager, said: ” I’d like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience while work has been going on.
“The improvements are nearly complete and we are really looking forward to welcoming everyone to our extended store, which will provide a wider range of products and ultimately a better shopping experience for our customers.”
