YOUNGSTERS in Oak Hill were transported back to prehistoic times this week thanks to a very special visitor.
The reception class children enjoyed a morning with the Dinosaur Man and after participating in a workshop, became experts in all things dinosaur and were even able to hone their fossil hunting skills by identifying different parts of the dinosaur from excavations.
During the afternoon assembly, the pupils were joined by Key Stage One and an unexpectedly large guest – a T-Rex called Millie.
The children learnt all about the different types of dinosaurs and were shell-shocked after comparing the size of a chicken’s egg with that of a dinosaur’s.
