A PROLIFIC thief has been banned from the town’s shopping centre for two years.
Winston Edward Clay, of Mount Pleasant, was issued the Criminal Anti Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO) at Redditch Magistrates’ on December 15 following a conviction for theft which happened in the Game shop in November.
The 41-year-old is not allowed to enter any part of the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, apart from the bus station.
PC Richard Field, from West Mercia Police, said: “Clay is a well known offender, convicted of a number of theft offences relating to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
“We take theft seriously and will continue to work with businesses in Redditch to prevent further offences and prosecute offenders.”
He added if anyone sees Clay entering the centre they should call police on 101.
