WOULD-BE thieves climbed onto the roof of a garage attached to a house in Huntingdon Close, Winyates, removed some roof tiles and felt to take a look inside.

The incident happened over the night of November 5 but police say the hole wasn’t big enough for someone to climb through and nothing was stolen.

Meanwhile sometime between 11.30am on Saturday, (November 7) and 2.30pm on Sunday (November 8) thieves removed a plastic panel on the conservatory of a property on The Meadway, Headless Cross, searched the house and stolen jewellery.

Elsewhere, over the night of Sunday (November 8) and Monday (November 9) a crowbar was used to open a caravan and shed at a property in in Highland Way, Greenlands, the thieves stealing an engine from the shed.
