ALE and cider fans in Alcester had a treat over the bank holiday weekend as pubs put on a series of special brews.
The Alcester Real Ale and Cider Trail guided drinkers around the town’s eight pubs where they could sample everything from
Happy Ferret cider to Mad Goose beer.
And there was a touch of tradition on show when the town’s court leet performed its historic beer tasting in each of the pubs – four on the Saturday and four on bank holiday Monday.
High Bailiff Steven Brown said: “There were lots of extra beers put on over the three days and, as we have come to expect from Alcester’s pubs, the quality was excellent.
“We even broke from tradition a little to sample some of the ciders – all in the call of duty.”
