Tuck in to a selfie for Hub launch

Redditch Editorial 2nd Oct, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

SHOPPERS are set to serve up some selfies with the help of gigantic cutlery.

A huge 16ft knife and fork set has been installed in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre and bosses are encouraging people to have their photo taken with the props ahead of their Hub VIP launch event on Sunday (October 5).

The Hub is part of an £8million investment into the centre by owners Capital & Regional and is the name for the Kingfisher’s leisure quarter. It includes Vue Cinema, Pure Gym, Nando’s and Real China buffet restaurant with American diner and milkshake bar Tinseltown expected to open towards the end of this month.

Centre manager Ken Williams said: “We’re really excited to see what kind of selfies people take next to our giant knife and fork – the wackier, the better.

“It’s not just a publicity stunt, this is our way of showcasing our latest offerings in the food court, as well as engaging with our customers via social media.”

Selfies should be submitted on www.facebook.co.uk/shopkingfisher using the hashtag #KFselfie.
