VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help run the Library at Home Service.
Redditch Library is seeking helpers to deliver books and audio visual items to people unable to visit their local library due to age or disability.
Volunteers do not need to have to be available for large amounts of time and no qualifications are required for the role, although those interested must have a full UK driving licence.
Jacky Perry has been volunteering for the service for the last six years and is encouraging others to donate their time to helping the library service.
“It’s good fun, I love keeping in touch with the elderly customers on my round. It’s very rewarding seeing how much the service means to them.” she said.
“They see so few people and are genuinely so grateful, they really really appreciate it.”
Anyone interested in applying should visit www.worecestershire.gov.uk/libraries or contact a member of staff at Redditch Library.
