REDDITCH knitters could win themselves £50 by creating a warm home this winter.
Age UK has teamed up with the borough’s MP Karen Lumley to offer the prize to the best knitted house created to promote Cold Homes Week (February 2 to 6). Entries will also be sent into a national competition to win a £159 sewing machine.
The drive will see hundreds of organisations calling for millions of homes to be made much more energy efficient.
To enter, residents should call Age UK on 01527 584653 to request a knitting or crochet pattern of the basic house.
The completed version should be delivered to the offices at Community House, Easemore Road by 1.30pm on Thursday, January 29.
