AN AMBULANCE was called to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre when a woman went into labour this afternoon (Tuesday).
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, began having contractions in Poundland about 12.19pm.
An ambulance and a rapid response team attended the scene and she was taken to the Alexandra Hospital.
The incident was posted on Spotted: Bromsgrove’s Facebook page and led to a stream of comments.
One read: “Aw wow you really don’t know when they will make an appearance. Good luck to her.”
Another stated: “Good luck to the poor girl and I hope she has a happy healthy baby,” while someone else said “all I can say, congratulations and hope mother and baby are well.”
