A WOMAN has been raped in Redditch and police are now on the hunt for a man who was seen in the area.
The woman was attacked on Monday, August 15 in Mount Pleasant at 9pm. At the time a man described as 5ft 10ins, in his early 20s and wearing all grey was spotted in the area.
Detective Inspector David Knight of West Mercia Police said “I would like to reassure local residents that attacks of this type by strangers are very rare, but we are keen to identify a man who was seen in the area. He has been described as white, around 5’10” tall and aged in his early 20s and was dressed all in grey.
“We treat all reports of rape and sexual assault very seriously and are dedicated to identifying those responsible and bringing them to justice.
“Specialist officers are providing support to the victim and the investigation is progressing quickly with a dedicated team of officers from Worcestershire County Investigations.”
