Woodrow school's harvest help for foodbank

Redditch Editorial 24th Oct, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

THE big-hearted parents of children at St Thomas More School in Woodrow have donated hundreds of food items to the Redditch foodbank to mark the harvest festival.

The school community rallied round to help those less fortunate than themselves after the school sent out an appeal listing foodstuff needed by the Trussell Trust-run resource.

A school spokeswoman said: “This has been a tremendous response and I think it shows how caring both our parents and children are and how thoughtful too.”

The foodbank distributes emergency food to families experiencing crisis in Redditch and surrounding areas.
