HEALTHWATCH Worcestershire has won a national award that recognises the impact it has made to health and social care in the past year.
The award, presented at the annual Healthwatch network conference, celebrated Healthwatch’s effective work with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Healthwatch Worcestershire was instrumental in bringing about a Risk Summit which brought forward a hospital inspection of Worcestershire Acute Trust by the CQC and resulted in a Patient Care Improvement Plan being put in place.
Peter Pinfield, chair of Healthwatch Worcestershire, said: “We are extremely proud of our working relationship with the CQC which gives Healthwatch Worcestershire teeth make a difference to local people.”
