A REDDITCH gift shop is showcasing the creative talent of the borough’s artists after just re-opening its doors after an eight-week renovation.
Set in The Old Needle Works in Britten Street, the Britten House Craft Gallery is the brainchild of silversmith Maria Frascina and her husband Franco and grew out of a chance meeting with Brenda Killigrew, the centre’s director.
It offers space for local crafters to display their unique and exquisite creations, with Marie offering mentoring tips in marketing to the artists. The gallery, which is also home to Marie’s Silveripple Jewellery, has studio space for recreational workshops in jewellery making, glass fusing, art, pottery and crochet, as well as housing a bead shop for jewellery.
The centre is open from 10.30am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday and from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturdays.
Britten Street is on the left ,off Bromsgrove Road just after the railway station.
