REDDITCH’S writers of the future have shown of their talent in a competition which will now see their mini sagas published.
The Year 4 pupils at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic First School entered the Young Writers competition earlier this year and were faced with the challenge of creating their own myth of legends in 100 words or less.
The 18 students chosen will now have their work published in a book which will be released on June 30.
A school spokeswoman said: “There are some very talented writers in this year group who were thrilled at the opportunity to share their creative ideas.”
The winners were: Gabriel Bakalar, Alice Wright, Liam Dwyer, Max Chidler, Joshua Tomlinson, Nikolas Jasiak, Daisy Hodgson, Danielle Hawthorne, Erin Kennedy, Irena Srebniak, Julia Wisniewska, Charlotte Rooke, Jennifer Barratt, Alfie Doran, Lotty Thompson, Rupert Callow, Indica Ebanks and Ella Radford.
