MAKING Church Hill a vibrant and positive place to live and work is the aim of a man appointed to help improve the borough with a £1m grant.
Darren Veness has been given the role of community development worker with the Church Hill Big Local Partnership, which is tasked with spending the money over the next decade.
Chair Wendy Johnson said: “We are delighted Darren has agreed to take up this vital post. Darren is well known and respected in Church Hill through his work with the YMCA. He will waste no time in putting our plans into operation.”
