A GROUP of youngsters did not quite reach Middle Earth on their charity walk.
But the team managed to complete a five day 95-mile West Highland Walk dressed as characters from Lord of the Rings.
Alex Nisbet, Joe Morrice, Oliver Wilkinson and Jonty Thornton raised a total of £900, half of which went to the Your Ideas Spectrum Club in Matchborough with the other half going to Upper Ford Lodge in Droitwich.
Alex’s brother James has attended the project for several years which was part of the inspiration behind the group’s fund-raising efforts.
The money adds to a grand total of £1,500 which was raised during a 24-hour video gameathon organised by the club for those on the autistic spectrum.
