Awards evenings kick-off at the Valley

REDDITCH United Juniors held their first of seven junior awards evenings at the weekend when a packed function room of parents and players at the Valley Stadium eagerly waited to see who were the winners.

Saturday saw the new U7s teams attend their first awards evening, along with their managers Mac Mclaren and Mick Pearce.

U8s, U13s and U15 Girls also attended with team managers Steve Ruppenthal, Simon Rowberry and Pete Smith.

It was time to say thanks to Smith, who has stepped down as manager after six years due to work commitments, but will continue to be involved with the club and U7s team in the new season.

All players who attended the evening were winners and a list of the award recipients is as follows:

Most Man of the Matches: U7s MP – Amber Martin; U7s MM – Jamie Bennett; U8s – Taio Asanga; U13s – Flynn Duggan; U15s – Olivia Clarke.

Most Improved Player: U15s – Becky Smith; U13s – Joe Reynolds; U8s – Ella Poulton-Rowberry; U7s MM – Jamel Findley; U7s MP – Amber Martin.

Top Goalscorer: U7s MP – Jack Wheatcroft; U7s MM – Evan Booker; U8s – Taio Asanga; U13s – Nathan Johnson; U15s – Eleanor Sutton-Smith.

Club Person: U15s – Leanne Bott; U13s – Jamie Chilton; U8s – Hayden Ruppenthal; U7s MM – Colby Lewis; U7s MP – Bailey Gibbs.

Parents’ Player Award: U7s MP – Riley Martin; U7s MM – Joshua Jobson; U8s – Toby Clements; U13s – Sam Ellis; U15s – Charlotte Smith.
