Busy final weekend for Trystan

Redditch Editorial 3rd Dec, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

REDDITCH motorcycling ace Trystan Finocchiaro rounded off a busy weekend’s sporting activities with a podium position in his last 125cc Aprilia Superteen race at the famous old Mallory Park circuit in Leicestershire.

After a dash to Bristol on the Friday where he successfully graded for his Second Dan Tae Kwon Do Black Belt at the age of 15, the weekend’s racing started well with front row qualifying together with Saturday’s fastest lap and fourth position in race one.

However, mechanical trouble in race two and a high speed crash in race three left him needing to deliver in the final televised race of the season and he duly produced with a podium trophy and fastest lap.

Finocchiaro’s busy weekend culminated in back-to-back races on the Aprilia 125cc and the powerful Aprilia RRV450GP that he raced for the first time, bringing home three good points.

This season’s form promises much for next season when he will move up to the Aprilia Challenge 450cc class to ride for the ‘IN Competition’ team and contest the 450cc Aprilia Challenge British Championship.

Finocchiaro’s racing career depends on the tremendous support he receives from local companies Transmec Group, Absolute Coatings, Interlink Direct, Automatic Doors, Redditch Motorcycles, Redditch Tigers, V F Foods and a host of friends and family members of Club #58.
