JACK SMITH led the successes for Redditch HDA with three titles at the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Junior and Senior County Closed Tennis Championships.
Smith won the 18 and under boys final and also took the men’s and 18&U doubles in the tournament at Manor Park, Malvern.
In the 18&U final Smith played a solid game against fellow Redditch player Alex Maggs, winning 6-2, 6-2. Joseph Wherry finished third, beating Malvern player
Tobie Timmermans 6-1, 6-4.
Maggs also made it to the 16&U final and played some of his best tennis to beat Oliver Nunn 6-3, 6-2.
Felix Gill progressed to the 14&U final without dropping a set and then defeated Joe Hart, from Bromsgrove, 6-1, 6-4, while Max Hingley reached the 12&U final but lost 7-5, 6-3 to Harry Friend, from Ross.
Sophia Jenkins-Howard had to fight back from a set down in the 10&U girls final before edging out Malvern player Lois Burgess 3-5, 4-2, 10-6.
In the doubles, Jack Smith won both Mens and 18&U boys doubles titles with Timmermans while Maggs and Gill teamed up to win the 14&U boys doubles final, beating two more Redditch players, Joseph Morris and Matt Sime 6-3, 6-2.
Scott Mortimer paired up with Imogen Sinclair, from Bromsgrove, to take the 14&U mixed title.
Owen Perry won the 10&U boys doubles partnering Patrick Niedzwiedz, from Bromsgrove.
Sisters Kiyyah and Latesha Grant were runners-up in the 12&U girls doubles and Alex Maggs and Joseph Wherry were runners-up in the 16&U boys doubles.
