REDDITCH racer David Nash consolidated second place in the Smart 4two Cup standings with two second places in the latest meeting at Rockingham.
An early morning start saw Nash qualify in third position and in race one Nash brought his number seven car quickly through the pack from his qualifying position to take the lead.
Martin Clatworthy was relentless in his pursuit of Nash, keeping on his tail until Nash spun on the last lap at the lethal Deene corner, giving Clatworthy top spot and Nash second place.
In race two Nash and Clatworthy were able to break away from the pack on the first lap and, with Palmer and Owens hot on their heels, handling problems caused by a late swap of tyres for Nash saw him lose nearly two seconds a lap to Clatworthy.
However, Nash was able to fend off a very strong challenge from Palmer and Owens to secure another second placed finish of the weekend behind Clatworthy.
Overall it was a good weekend of racing for Nash, who is pleased with his position in the standings.
