Rocklands prosper in league and cup

Redditch Editorial 10th Mar, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

SUNDAY was a good day for Rocklands as a solitary goal from Ellis Kalach proved enough to beat Alcester Town 1-0 and book a place in the Studley Charity Cup final.

Rocklands’ Division One title challengers Millfield Rovers lost ground as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Beoley Village.

Church Hill gained revenge for their recent BSA Cup defeat at the hands of South Redditch with a 4-1 success in the BRT Terry Cup quarter-final to set up a semi-final clash with fellow Premier Division title contenders Austin Ex-Apprentices.

OKH Sporting Dynamo got their Division Two championship challenge back on track with a 3-2 victory over visitors and current leaders Winyates Wanderers and the result means OKH now have their destiny in their own hands with two games in hand on Wanderers.

This coming Sunday sees the two Jim Fleeman Cup semi-finals in which Division Two’s Abbeydale are the underdogs at home to Division One side SHTP and the top two in Division One do battle as CBH Fasteners host Rocklands.
