Saunders swaps the gloves for shooting boots

GOALSCORING evidently begins at 40 for Beoley Village reserve goalkeeper Jason Saunders.

Pressed into necessary outfield service away to AFC Lions before half time due to injuries, Saunders scored a second half hat-trick in a 6-0 victory.

Ryan Richards also scored twice in this Division One encounter.

OKH Sporting Dynamo are top of the Premier Division after a 3-0 victory over CBH Fasteners, whilst Black Horse saw off the challenge of Rubery Bridge 4-0.

Studley Entaco got their season off to a winning start with a 5-2 victory over Lodge Park RA as Tobias Teague and Karl Surman both scored twice for the hosts and Terry Nolan scored the visitors’ goals.

Winyates Wanderers lead Division One following their 2-1 victory over Red Lion.

New Woodland Cottage were reduced to ten men as early as the fifth minute, but took a 2-0 first half lead at home to Studley Railway, only for two goals from Jamie Walsh to lead the visitors to a dramatic 3-2 victory.

Sean Bailey was the hat-trick hero as Redditch Cross beat VKL United 8-3, whilst Redolence Park drew 4-4 at home to Coldstream in a thriller.
