White Hart climb Warks/Worcs table

WHITE Hart are on the road to recovery after a difficult few months in the prestigious Warwickshire/Worcestershire Saturday Premier Leagues.

Their fine 217-157 home win over Stoke Prior in Division Five has lifted them to fourth from bottom and within two points of their victims.

In Heart of England League Division Two, White Hart easily beat visitors Maggies B 151-109 and are in third place, 13 points behind local rivals Alcester.

They had five winners – Stan Pritchard 21-4, Ray Richards 21-7 Tim Hollingshead 21-10, Paul Matthews 21-11 and Sheila Humphreys 21-14.

The B team struggled at leaders Olton Tavern A where they had only two winners in a 157-93 defeat. Their winners were captain Norman Batchelor 21-17 and Rob Faulks 21-14.

The over 60s A team suffered a 116-105 defeat at home to Black Horse A in Division One. Norman Batchelor (21-15) and Ray Richards (21-17) were their only winners and they stay seventh.

In Northfield & District League Division Two White Hart A hammered seven-man Warstock 168-93 including a walkover and jump to fifth.

Their two teams in the SW Birmingham League played the RABL A and B teams with almost identical outcomes.

White Hart A lost 103-95 at home in Division One with wins for Ray Richards, Graham Arnott and Mike Estell, while the B team also went down 103-96 away in Division Four as their winning cards came from Sue Sugden, Tom Hawkes and Ken Brown.
