WHITE Hart are on the road to recovery after a difficult few months in the prestigious Warwickshire/Worcestershire Saturday Premier Leagues.
Their fine 217-157 home win over Stoke Prior in Division Five has lifted them to fourth from bottom and within two points of their victims.
They had eight winners from the 12 ties, including six cards to single figures – captain Tony Sugden 21-6, Ken Brown 21-7, Dave Kings 21-8, Stuart Rice 21-8, Ian Humphreys 21-9 and Matt Higgins who only dropped two shots in his second match for the Redditch club and looks a fine acquisition.
In Heart of England League Division Two, White Hart easily beat visitors Maggies B 151-109 and are in third place, 13 points behind local rivals Alcester.
They had five winners – Stan Pritchard 21-4, Ray Richards 21-7 Tim Hollingshead 21-10, Paul Matthews 21-11 and Sheila Humphreys 21-14.
The B team struggled at leaders Olton Tavern A where they had only two winners in a 157-93 defeat. Their winners were captain Norman Batchelor 21-17 and Rob Faulks 21-14.
The over 60s A team suffered a 116-105 defeat at home to Black Horse A in Division One. Norman Batchelor (21-15) and Ray Richards (21-17) were their only winners and they stay seventh.
The B team occupy second place in Division Three after a fine 121-105 win at Central Edgbaston where they had five winning cards from Rob Faulks 21-17, Graham Arnott 21-17, Sue Sugden 21-18, Sheila Humphreys 21-14 and captain Brian Chatterley 21-18.
In Northfield & District League Division Two White Hart A hammered seven-man Warstock 168-93 including a walkover and jump to fifth.
Their two teams in the SW Birmingham League played the RABL A and B teams with almost identical outcomes.
White Hart A lost 103-95 at home in Division One with wins for Ray Richards, Graham Arnott and Mike Estell, while the B team also went down 103-96 away in Division Four as their winning cards came from Sue Sugden, Tom Hawkes and Ken Brown.
