WORCESTERSHIRE Gymnastics Academy members competed superbly at the fifth West Midlands Regional Six-Piece Championships at Birmingham’s GMAC (Gymnastics & Martial Arts Centre).
The squad increased their training leading up to this competition to compete to the best of their ability as they were competing on all six men’s artistic pieces – floor, pommel mushroom, rings, vault, parallel bars and high bar.
The club had a fantastic day as several of its gymnasts who had recently moved into the competition squad competed in their first regional competition and produced some truly flawless routines to give the club quite possibly its best results to date at this competition.
The club entered 22 gymnasts into the competition and they achieved some fantastic results as they won 17 medals – nine gold, five silver and three bronze.
The gymnasts are now preparing new routines for their next competition in Stoke in December.
