DETECTIVES in North Worcestershire have launched a new team to tackle burglary.
The formation is aimed at challenging and reducing burglary and to help victims deal with the loss of their property and the vulnerability they feel.
West Mercia Police say the force is dedicated to tackling those responsible for home burglaries and bringing them to justice.
Det Ch Insp Gareth Lougher said: “They will use a wide range of investigative techniques to identify and robustly target offenders who commit these offences, which is extremely impactive on victims.
“We will work closely with neighbouring forces to identify those criminals that travel into North Worcestershire and target them.”
