A REDDITCH charity has received a vital contribution to running costs, thanks to Redditch Rotary Club.
Ahead of Wellbeing based near the Car Park 3 entrance to the Kingfisher Centre, the charity provides a seven-day-a week, walk-in service for anyone with mental health issues or any anxieties resulting from personal crisis.
The centre also offers an arts and craft studio for therapeutic activities.
The Community Interest Company (CIC) is owned and run by Brenda Morrison-Webb and Sadie Jukes and offers a wide range of support, ranging from youngsters with family relationship problems, through to Domestic Abuse Support and Suicide Prevention.
Sadie said: “We are so grateful for the support from Redditch Rotary Club after going along to the club to talk about our activities, they kindly provided a significant contribution which will help us continue our support services.”
Redditch Rotary Club president Mike Luck visited the base in the Kingfisher Centre to see how the club’s contribution was being spent and was very impressed by the operation.
He said “It’s amazing to see what a small and dedicated team can achieve, this CIC provides a vital service for Redditch and we are keen to look at other ways to help.”
