REDDITCH’S Bronwen Seaton has been crowned the town’s super snapper after winning first prize in the Local History Museum’s photograph competition.
Bronwen received the prize, a top-of-the-range digital camera and a certificate, for a stunning photograph of the early morning sun shining down onto the town.
The winner was chosen by the Mayor of Redditch, Councillor Ann Isherwood, as were second and third place prize winners, who received £50 and £25.
The contest, which was the brainchild of college students who have been completing work experience at the museum, asked people to take a picture involving any historical Redditch building.
The best pictures may be used in a future exhibition or archived in the Local History Museum.
In a new project driven by museum trustee Pete Harris, the town centre venue is now filming five-minute videos where people can record their memories of Redditch and the enormous changes it has seen over the past 70 years.
These will then be shown in the museum’s cinema.
To take part, simply pop into the museum which is located on Market Place opposite St Stephen’s Church.
