Alcester Folk-popster Euan to release debut EP

ALCESTER’S rising folk-pop prodigy Euan Blackman launches his debut EP, ‘You Are the Rain’ next Friday, April 28.

The EP features the Spotify New Music Friday and Lost In The Woods featured single ‘Everybody Lets You Down’, plus ‘Busy Doing Nothing’ with the final final track ‘Cherry Stone’ featuring fellow indie-folk star Ben Stafford.

Euan wrote, recorded, produced and mixed ‘You Are the Rain’ entirely in his bedroom in Liverpool, where he’s a student at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

Inspired by the lo-fi aesthetic of ‘Nebraska’ by Bruce Springsteen, the EP was mastered by Jim Spencer (Johnny Marr, New Order, The Charlatans) at Eve studios.

Euan Blackman, brother of brilliant Blues guitarist Jack Blackman, crafts introspective and evergreen songs for rainy road trips with wistful gazes.

As an independent artist, Euan has built a loyal audience of fans on TikTok where he has over 22,000 followers and more than one million likes.

As a live act Euan has performed at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Cavern Club and a BBC Introducing live session.

He has also performed at festivals including Moseley Folk Festival, Lakefest, El Dorado and Black Deer Festival.
