ONE OF the two Lidl stores in Redditch is set to close.
Several readers contacted the Standard with queries about the German supermarket giant, after hearing rumours the Quadrant store was closing.
We contacted Lidl and they confirmed the closure.
With the budget store so close to the town centre, this is bound to be a blow to shoppers.
A spokesperson for the company said although this store is closing they are always on the lookout for opportunities in Redditch for new stores to join their recently opened supermarket on Battens Drive.
There is not a closing date yet.
