TWO offences of petrol station drive offs have been reported by West Mercia Police over the last couple of days.

Morrisons Superstore on Clearwell Road, Redditch has had almost £100 of petrol stolen from pumps by drivers filling up their vehicles before driving away without paying.

A green BMW, registration X15SSU drove to pump 6 of the petrol station, filling their vehicle with £40.02 of unleaded fuel before the driver, a stocky male, wearing a pin t-shirt drove off without offering payment. Police checks have revealed the registration may be registered to a turquoise blue BMW.

A green Volvo, registration A12EEV, drove to pump 6, filling their vehicle with £56.67 of petrol fuel before the male driver, returned to his vehicle and drove round the side of the station and over the zebra crossing to avoid the camera without offering payment. Police checks reveal the registration may be registered to a Jaguar.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson has told petrol station owners to ‘remain vigilant’ and has asked residents to ‘keep reporting’.
