CHURCH-GOERS are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the opening of Studley Methodist church.
The church opening on May 20 1873.
Leslie Last Church Steward is appealing for memories, photographs and stories about the historic building.
She said: “The church is about the people rather than the building.
“We’re asking: Were you married here? Were you baptised or confirmed here? Do you know anyone else who was? Did you go to Sunday School here? Is there someone or something about the church that you remember?
“If so, please get in touch.”
A celebration event is taking place on Saturday May 20th starting at 4pm.
There will be afternoon tea, an exhibition of memories and a performance by the new Studley Community Choir.
A service of celebration will be held on Sunday May 21 at 10:45am.
