WORCESTERSHIRE Trading Standards have issued a warning about the circulation of a scam letter which looks to obtain your personal and financial information.
The letter refers to the liquidation of a company called Imperial Fine Wines and directs recipients of the letter to call the number provided in order to file a claim to recover financial investments made to the company.
The letter fraudulently claims that the recipient has missed the opportunity to attend small claims court in order to file for financial reimbursement and tells recipients they have 10 days to lodge a claim before investments will be lost.
Worcestershire Trading Standards have confirmed the letters are ‘not genuine’ and are ‘a scam looking to obtain personal and financial details.’
Imperial Fine Wines is a registered company in the UK and are in no way affiliated with the scam letter.
