Redditch councillor asks residents to have their say on future of town

REDDITCH Borough Councillor Luke Court is asking residents for their suggestions on how he can help shape the town for the better.

Coun Court was recently appointed to Redditch Borough Council’s political executive where he will hold the position of portfolio holder for finance and enabling.

Within his role, Coun Court is responsible for the council’s budget, governance and customer services.

While he said he had his own ideas for how to take the council forward, he added he would also be very keen to learn from experiences residents have had when interacting with the council, as well as to benefit from good ideas from the public.

This could include suggestions for prioritising funding to particular projects, views on the rate of council tax and ideas for how the council can work even more efficiently.

Coun Court said: “Both myself and the wider Redditch Conservatives have our own views on our key priorities over the next 12 months, however we are always looking out for good ideas.

“If you have any thoughts on how Redditch Borough Council could better perform within my portfolio, please don’t hesitate to email me.

“I will be looking particularly at how we set council tax and which local services should be further prioritised in next year’s budget.”
