THE FINALISTS of this year’s Redditch Standard Baby of the Year competition have been decided.
Here are the 20 chosen in the 0 to 18-month category – the ten with the most votes following last month’s online poll and ten selected by our judging panel.
A staggering 250 people took their children to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in April where their pictures were taken by professional portrait photographer Andrea Powell.
The parents and guardians could then choose that all important photograph they want entered into the contest.
The youngest entrant this year was just five days old before they went before the camera.
Here are the 20 finalists –
Prizes will be awarded for winners and runners up – a 20”x16” canvas print and Jellycat toy for first place and a 12”x10” canvas and Jellycat toy for the runner up.
Andrea has also been offering a selection of the prints to buy for as little as £12 but there is no obligation whatsoever to do so.

Next week we will be revealing the 19-month to three year finalists before the top two in each category will be chosen by judges.
