SUPERMARKET giant Morrisons has raised more than £400 for its Redditch store charity Together for Short Lives, supporting Acorns Hospice.
The store community champion Beverley Allington organised a second car boot for shoppers, after the first was such a success.
She said: “All of the money raised came from the car booters paying a fee of just £10 per pitch.
“We are hoping to do this, once a month, and are able to provide 30 pitches for car booters to come along, between the hours of 7.30am and 2pm.
“We have been challenging ourselves, as a store, with the support of our store manager, Ben Smith, to find different ways to raise much-needed funds for our charity and hope this becomes a monthly event.”
