A SERVICE to celebrate the life of former Redditch MP Karen Lumley will take place at 12.30pm on Friday, June 23, at Redditch Crematorium.
Mrs Lumley passed away on May 25 after a long-term illness.
As the former Member of Parliament for Redditch, Karen loved the town and had made it her home.
Mrs Lumley served on Redditch Borough Council from 2001 to 2003.
She was elected as MP for the town in 2010, a position she held until she stood down at the general election of 2017 due to ill health.
Mrs Lumley was a beloved Wife to Richard and Mother to Lizzie and Chris.
She is dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
Those attending should wear colourful attire and a request has been made that flowers only come from immediate family.
In the House of Commons Mrs Lumley sat on the Finance Committee, had been part of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee and the Transport Select Committee.
She was also a Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Department of Health.
