THE PALACE Drum Clinic (PDC) is looking for its next superstar as it launches its 2023 Young Drummer Competition.
The Redditch-based organisation is holding its third bi-annual event this summer, and is encouraging young, enthusiastic drummers up to the age of 18 to enter.
PDC founder Matt Green said: “We are looking for ability and musicality, not the loudest or fastest drummer.
“It’s about being yourself and being comfortable doing it”
Olly Robinsonm who was crowned PDC Young Drummer in 2021, said: “I found the competition was really fun – and being the winner is a cool thing to be able to mention to people.”
Ollie now plays in a local band Redskies and shares his drumming talents with his many social media followers.
Anyone interesting in applying can do so at palacedrumclinic.com before Monday, July 31.
Auditions are being held online and the final will take place on September 17 in Redditch.
All those entering will receive feedback from accomplished drummer Matt and a free trial of PDC’s exciting new drumming App.
All finalists will receive a PDC goodie bag, and the winner will be presented with a new snare drum plus the opportunity to feature in their own PDC Clinic
Matt added: “If you are passionate about drumming, we really want to hear from you.”
