A MAN stopped on suspicion of drugs offences rammed his car into a police vehicle in Redditch in an attempt to escape arrest.
Officers successfully blocked off the car and attempted to smash the driver’s window.
A man then attempted to flee on foot but was quickly caught and detained.
A quantity of drugs was found, and a 35-year-old man was arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
He was further arrested for driving under the influence of drugs after failing a roadside test.
The incident occurred around midday last Wednesday in the Melen Street area of Redditch.
The man has been bailed while investigations continue.
