A REDDITCH volunteer has been awarded a certificate for her continued hard work.
Karen Maullin from Oakenshaw has been volunteering for Midlands Air Ambulance for several years.
She has learning disabilities, and through her volunteer work is determined not to let it hold her back.
Her mum, Shelia, is very proud of what she has achieved.
Shelia said: “Karen has never let her disability affect her work ethic, and she was made up to receive the certificate.
“Midlands Air Ambulance don’t normally issue certificates for volunteer work, but made an exception due to Karens outstanding volunteer work.
“It just goes to show a disability should never let you get in the way.”
